Whiskey and Bourbon Cocktails

CLASSIC OLD FASHIONED

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

1/2 oz Simple syrup

3-5 dashes Orange Angostura Bitters

Bada Bing cherry/Luxardo cherry

Orange peel

Ice

1. In a mixing glass, muddle a Bada Bing cherry in the bottom of the glass

2. Add ice to the glass

3. Add the bourbon, simple syrup, bitters

4. Stir and strain into rocks glass with ice

5. Garnish with Luxardo cherry and orange peel

MANHATTAN

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

1/2 oz Sweet vermouth

3-5 dashes Angostura Bitters

Bada Bing cherry/Luxardo cherry

Ice

1. In a mixing glass, muddle a Bada Bing cherry in the bottom of the glass
2. Add ice to the glass

3. Add the bourbon, sweet vermouth, bitters

4. Stir and strain into rocks glass with ice

5. Garnish with Luxardo cherry and orange peel

MCLAUGHLIN OLD FASHIONED

2oz 3799 Bourbon
½ oz Black Cherry Moonshine
Ice
Garnish with orange peel and cherry
1. Add bourbon, black cherry moonshine, and ice to a mixing glass
2. Stir to chill
3. Strain into a rock’s glass over ice
4. Garnish with an orange peel and cherry

MAPLE OLD FASHIONED

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

1/4 oz Black Cherry Moonshine

1/2 oz Maple syrup

Bada Bing cherry/Luxardo cherry

Ice

1. In a mixing glass add ice, bourbon, black cherry moonshine

2. Stir and strain into rocks glass with ice

3. Garnish with Luxardo cherry

HONEY OLD FASHIONED

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

1/2 oz Honey simple syrup (2 cups honey, 1 cup water, simmer for 20 min - do not boil)

Bada Bing cherry/Luxardo cherry

Orange peel

Ice

1. In a mixing glass add ice, bourbon, black cherry moonshine

2. Stir and strain into rocks glass with ice

3. Garnish with Luxardo cherry and orange peel

MINT JULEP

2 oz 3799 Bourbon
1 oz Simple Syrup
3-4 mint leaves
Ice
Mint to garnish
1. Add mint to shaker and muddle
2. Add bourbon, simple syrup and ice
3. Shake to chill
4. Strain into a rock’s glass over crushed ice
5. Garnish with a mint leaf

NEW YORK SOURS

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

1 oz Lemon juice

1 oz Simple syrup

Layer on top with red blend wine

Garnish with a lemon twist

1. Add ice to a mixing glass

2. Add bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup to the mixing glass and mix to chill.

3. Strain into an old fashion glass and add ice

4. Layer on top with red wine and garnish with a lemon twist

BOURBON TART

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

2 oz Cranberry juice

1 oz Peach Moonshine

1/2 oz Lemon juice

Garnish with a lemon twist or peach slice

1. Add ice to a shaker 

2. Add bourbon, cranberry juice, peach moonshine, lemon juice and ice to shaker

3.Shake to chill

4.Strain into a rocks glass over ice

5. Garnish with an orange peel

MAPLE WHISKEY SOUR

2 oz Maple Whiskey

¾ oz Lemon juice

½ oz egg white

Garnish with a cherry

1 oz Devil’s Juice #5


1. Add ice to a mixing glass

2. Add Maple Whiskey, lemon juice, egg white to a shaker (no ice) and shake

for 30 sec to froth egg white.

3. Add ice and shake again to chill

4. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice

5. Float Devil’s Juice on top

6. Garnish with a cherry

 

CHOCOLATE OLD FASHIONED

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

½ oz Simple Syrup

4 dashes of chocolate bitters (such as Free Brothers Aztec
Chocolate Bitters)

Orange peel

1. Combined all ingredients into a mixing glass
2. Add ice

3. Stir and strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice

4. Garnish with a flamed orange peel

BOURBON LEMONADE

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

2 oz Lemonade Moonshine

2 oz Lemonade

Ice

1. Add ice, bourbon, lemonade moonshine and lemonade to the shaker

2. Shake to chill

3. Strain into a highball glass or rocks glass with ice

4. Garnish with a lemon wheel

LUCK OF THE IRISH

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

2 oz Peach Moonshine

2 oz Hokie Pokie Moonshine

Green food coloring (for some fun)

Seltzer or Lime Seltzer

Ice

Lime or Mint for garnish

1. Add ice, bourbon, moonshines, and green food coloring to the shaker

2. Shake to chill

3. Strain into rocks glass with ice

4. Top with seltzer

4. Garnish with lime or mint

MAPLE BROWN DERBY

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

1 oz Ruby Red Grapefruit Moonshine

1/4 oz Maple syrup

Ice

1. Add ice, bourbon, moonshine and syrup to the shaker

2. Shake to chill

3. Strain into rocks glass with ice or straight into a coupe glass

BLACKBERRY BOURBON SMASH

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

1 oz Simple syrup

½ oz Lemon juice

Blackberries

Mint

Club Soda

Ice

1. Add blackberries and mint to a shaker and muddle

2. Add ice to the shaker

3. Add bourbon, simple syrup and lemon juice

4. Shake to chill and strain into a julep cup or rocks glass

5. Top with club soda

DEVIL ON ARNIE’S SHOULDER

3 oz Arnies Butter Pecan Cello

½ oz Devil’s Juice #5

Ice

1. Add the cello, Devil’s Juice and ice to a shaker

2. Shake to chill

3. Strain into a rocks glass on fresh ice

PICKLEBACK

1.5 oz 3799 Bourbon or Grandma’s Rocking Chair Whiskey

1.5 oz Pickle Moonshine

Ice

1. Add the bourbon/whiskey to a shot glass

2. Add the pickle moonshine to another shot glass

Drink the bourbon/whiskey as a shot and then chase with the pickle moonshine

BRUNCH WHISKEY
(makes 4 servings)

2 oz Grandma’s Rocking Chair Whiskey

16 oz Orange Juice

1 oz Bourbon Barrel Aged Pure Maple Syrup 

Lemon wedge

Powdered sugar

Mint leaves

Ice 

1. Rub the lemon wedge on each glass and then dip in powdered sugar to create a rimmed glass

2. Combined whiskey, orange juice and maple syrup in a large container and stir well

3. Pour into each glass over ice

4. Garnish with mint leaves

PENNSYLVANIA JACKASS (otherwise known as a Kentucky Mule)

Ingredients

2 oz 3799 Bourbon

½ oz Lime juice

Ginger beer

Ice 

Lime to garnish

  1. Add bourbon, lime juice to an ale glass over ice

  2. Top with Ginger beer

  3. Garnish with lime

Creamy Smooches

1.5 oz Hot Smooches Cinnamon Whiskey

1 oz Arnie’s Butter Pecan Cello

Ice

1. Combined cinnamon whiskey and butter pecan cello over ice

2. Shake to chill

3. Pour into a shot glass and enjoy
